Excerpts

Love Sonnet from the Lady of the Lake

I write this to you
Merlin my love
My life is full
My work never ends
My ladies are happy
My herbs are growing
I sit in my chair
My thoughts are with you
Now I must say this
Love is a feeling I have for you
Hope is something I hold on to
Memories are what I treasure of you
Merlin my love, my life and my bliss
I write this sonnet for you
Kisses and much love

Note: Merlin’s Lady Love was a priestess who lived in Oxenly, a small community in the south of England. Merlin moved from northern England to southern England to the Druid Hall at Druid Grove. It was a 2 day ride from the Druid Grove to Oxenly. I am not sure of the spelling of Oxenly. His Lady Love was a Druid Priestess. Merlin would take furloughs to see his Lady Love. He affectionately called her “His Lady of the Lake” because she liked to spend so much time bathing in the lake in the summer. When Merlin would leave his Lady Love to go home to the Druid Grove, she would pack him a lunch and put in some love notes to him. This is one of her notes.
